FAQ - Frequently asked questions

What is VR?

Virtual reality is a cutting edge medium of gaming experience that gives viewers unprecedented immersion into an environment by wearing a head mounted display (HMD) and a pair of controllers. The headset tracks the player’s movements allowing the player to physically look and move around inside a virtual space.  There is a cord connecting the headset to the computer. corporate team building birthday party places arcade games

Why is VR so exciting?

It’s incredibly realistic. Guests using the VR headset will feel like they are immersed in the virtual reality world. VR2U offers the best technology to support full 360 degree room-scale immersive virtual reality. While wearing the high-tech equipment headset, the player will be able to see, hear, and sense the virtual world they are in. Room-Scale gives the player freedom to walk around, dodge, and duck (no diving or flips) in a large area.  No other Virtual Reality systems allow that freedom. VR2U offers a new way to experience gaming and entertainment in the comfort of your own space without needing to purchase your own expensive equipment.

  • have photosensitivity
  • have psychiatric disorders
  • suffer from a heart condition
  • other serious medical condition
  • children under the age of 10
  • Seizures: Some people (about 1 in 4000) may have severe dizziness, seizures, epileptic seizures or blackouts triggered by light flashes or patterns, and this may occur while they are watching TV, playing video games or experiencing virtual reality, even if they have never had a seizure or blackout before or have no history of seizures or epilepsy. Such seizures are more common in children and young people under the age of 20. Anyone who has had a seizure, loss of awareness, or other symptom linked to an epileptic condition should see a doctor before playing VR games.

Guests of every age, shape and form can play virtual reality and there are games for every person. Even people who aren’t particularly fond of playing video games can find something they enjoy on the virtual reality system.

If you are under the age of 18, your parent/legal guardian must sign the waiver. Users 13 and under require direct adult supervision by a parent or guardian.

VR provides an experience that people physically could not have otherwise. VR2U helps people with disabilities explore the world and have experiences that might be difficult or impossible in real life.

Can I wear my glasses?

It depends on the size of your glasses frame. Our virtual reality headset allows you to wear glasses if it can fit, but it can be uncomfortable depending on the length you are playing. We recommend that you wear contacts. There’s also the risk that the headset might scratch your glasses or our headset lenses.

Does this experience cause motion-sickness?

VR2U provides high-end computers and technology that decreases the chance of motion sickness.  Not all VR systems are alike. The state of the art technology we offer at VR2U reduces motion sickness, vertigo, and nausea by 99%.  If there is a chance that you feel uneasy at any point, we ask that you stop and inform us immediately.  There will be no refunds should you feel motion sickness.

Will I walk into a wall or run into something?

Our virtual Reality system has built-in grid, called Chaperone, which shows up whenever you’re close to the bounds of your play area (the wall). Do not walk or move past the virtual reality grid.

Can I cancel my event?

Payment in full with a valid credit card or debit card is required to reserve your event booking date and time. There will be a $75 cancellation fee for all parties or events cancelled after payment is received.  Refunds will be credited back to the original credit card used for payment.  NO REFUND if your event reservation is cancelled within 14 days of your event.  We have reserved that time especially for you and turned down booking other events.

What if I need to reschedule my event?

To avoid additional charges, we require at least 14 days advance notice if you need to reschedule your event. Your event must be rescheduled within 3 months of the original event date.  Each event can only be rescheduled one time.  NO REFUND if event reservation is cancelled within 14 days of your event.  We have reserved that time especially for you and turned down booking other events.

What if I am late for my scheduled event? What if my guests are late?

We understand that circumstances happen, however, our events start and end promptly at the scheduled time. Since there may be other events scheduled after your event, we may be unable to extend your VR Experience time. If your event begins after your scheduled time due to waiting for late guests, your VR Experience time will be cut short. If your guests arrive late and you have already started your VR Experience, your guests can just join in for the rest of the scheduled VR Experience time.
